VDE APPROVED CABLE
Verband der Elektrotechnik, Elektronik und Informationstechnik – more commonly known as VDE – is the Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies and their related sciences, technologies and applications.

The DKE German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies, a joint organization of the DIN (German Institute for Standardization) and the VDE, is the national organization responsible for creating and maintaining standards in these fields. Drawing on the expertise and work of about 5,500 voluntary professionals, the DKE represents Germany in the European and international bodies responsible for standardization.

Standards developed jointly between VDE and DIN, the German Institute for Standardisation (Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V.), are promoted under the banner of DKE, the German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies.
