BS7835 Cable

BS7835 defines the construction requirements for medium voltage power cables featuring LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) sheaths to reduce smoke and gas emissions in the event of a fire. For increased protection against mechanical stress, these cables are armoured with either SWA (Steel Wire Armour - multicore) or AWA (Aluminium Wire Armour - single core). BS7835 compliant cables are typically used in power networks in public buildings or other locations where smoke and fume emissions under fire conditions may pose a risk to personnel or equipment.
