Cleveland Cable is proud to have received certificate number SKT-001 of the BASEC stockist scheme, making us the first cable distributor in the world to be accredited under a BASEC scheme. The BASEC mark is recognised by the worldwide cable industry as the mark of reassured quality.

What is the BASEC stockist scheme?

The BASEC Stockist Scheme is an accreditation to BASEC standards for non manufacturers and recognises the high standards maintained by stockists, distributors and other suppliers of BASEC approved cable in promoting the high quality and rigorous testing of BASEC and the move toward continuous improvement.

The scheme focuses on reviewing procurement, selling and compliance practices to ensure that the quality of the products at our facilities are consistent with recognised standards and with the specifications of products manufactured at source.

The process consists of audit of our management systems and processes to ensure we have inviolable procurement, quality checking and sales procedures in place. After which a selection of cables were submitted for sampling to ensure that the quality of our products has not been compromised.

Becoming a Registered Stockist demonstrates to our customers our working relationship with BASEC, verification of our processes and quality of the products we supply. Our customers can be confident that our products match the original cable specification, are fit for purpose, and are of the same quality as they were at manufacture.
